It is located at the northeastern side of the island and it is developed around the ruins of a protohelladic settlement. A bit before the crossroads to Platis Gialos there is a small church dedicated to Panagia Scopiani, while from the street you can also see Moni Taxiarchon (abbey).
The settlement has two beautiful beaches with golden sand as well as a picturesque tavern, where you can taste local delicacies and many more dishes.
